Before starting the cleaning of a travertine surface it is essential that there are no dust or residues that could be deposited in the pores of the stone. It is therefore necessary to brush the stone well with a soft bristle broom (if we talk about a floor) or gently pass a Dust Cloth (if it is a shelf). Then go vacuum up all the residues with your home vacuum cleaner.

“Use a bucket, at least one microfibre cloth and a neutral pH detergent for precious surfaces”

At this point you can move on to the actual washing phase. Use a bucket, at least one microfibre cloth and a neutral pH detergent for precious surfaces. With the aid of a scrub brush – or a soft bristle brush in the case of a covering other than the floor – large movements are performed on its stone surface to make sure you cover it all.

Avoid stagnant humidity

The delicate composition of our soap allows us to clean the entire surface in travertine with the utmost tranquility: the neutral PH respects its delicacy without attacking its structure and evaporating quickly avoids dangerous stagnant humidity that would risk staining the stone. The natural appearance of the travertine will thus always be preserved and we will have to worry as much as possible from time to time to polish it to maintain its intrinsic shining effect!
